Liking the discussion on hardware for SL, lol, I get framerates of .9 on average, running the current SL viewer on a Toshiba laptop, Celeron processor (1.something gigahertz) 2 gig of memory, integrated Intel graphics (updated drivers). SL runs ok, I've managed to tweak the settings so that it works reasonably well for me.

Wow, I have to tell you.. I used to run a mac mini with slightly better specs than that, and I'd never do that again. When I got the more powerful macs, it become a totally different (in a good way) experience. It makes a huge difference.
Anything below double digit framerates and I find SL really unpleasant.

Yes, I average .9 FPS, though I do get spikes up, never double digits though.
If I could afford to buy something better, I'd be hot on it. I'd love one of those Dell XPS gaming laptops or something like that.
I actually tried SL once on an old PC before it died, had an older Radeon card with 512 memory, actually saw what Windlight was all about. I know what I'm missing, just can't do anything about it at the moment.
Since I've always used this laptop for SL, I've never really had much better so I'm used to it.

Yeah, I understand. Ya got what ya got. But when it does come time to upgrade, you'll know what kind of killer hardware this thing really wants!

I really enjoyed this episode, it was cool hearing the group discussion and especially having Anima and Ducky be a part of it. It was good to get some different perspectives.
Sucks about what happened at the Bellagio.. I'm still not really clear on how involved the actual property is with the SL version. (The real Bellagio is no fly also- that cracked me up.)

catching up on podcasts - also caught up on RR - have any of the issues with 1.20 been resolved yet? I know that my major problem lies in using a selectric (is this TM'd?) to access SL... Someday soon I hope to upgrade from 2nd class citizen... but it doesn't sound like your latest forays have been any better than what i usually experience.
